Expanding broadhead
Expandable or expanding. They don’t end up with more blades than when they started, they’re just tucked in to give a more field point like tip than a full broadhead. It reduces wind planing for the most part.
The most common name for them Is “mechanical” broad head. They expand out when contact is made with and animal or object.
Here are a few brands. Look them up for additional information on them.
Rage
Rocky Mountain Snyper
Rocket Steelhead
Nap Bloodrunner
Nap Spitfire
Grim Reaper
Wasp Jackhammer
G5 Tekan
Expanding/expandable broadheads.
I don’t recommend using them unless your draw is at least 55 lbs, my grandpa shot a deer with his
45 lb compound last year and it failed to expand. I prefer a fixed broadhead.
